Environmental & Energy Planning

Our team at Canbean sees the actions of individuals and communities as an integral part of how the natural world works. We are a part of nature; albeit with an existential responsibility to care for it. We see sustainable development as sensible and necessary development, in order for communities to strive. Professionals on our team understand the vital linkages between the range of ecosystem services the natural world provide and the vital energy sources which make modern living possible. A large amount of our assignments relate to environmental planning. As environmental planners we see energy consumption patterns in a community as a key indicator of the level of social and economic progress towards more sensible ways of living. We have the intersecting skills to tackle complex problems in these areas, providing plans and strategies to result in the the smallest possible ecological footprint from development of new projects, and to address the challenges of sustaining existing human habitat into the future. Our approach is climate and culture specific, and is predicated on research and employment of proven best practices from across the globe.
